Elder and Sister Burr

Elder and Sister Burr

Mission Experiences

Second Mission
We will be serving in the Seoul South Korea mission for two years. We will be posting our experiences below.

First Mission
Hello to all our family and friends visiting this Blog. We are excited about our mission to Kharkov Ukraine. We are in the Donetsk Mission as Humanitarian/Welfare missionaries. Half of our time will be spent helping members with employment. We are also taking Russian lessons from a little Ukrainian girl twice a week. Our brains seem to be a bit scrambled but we are enjoying the process. Keep tuned in and we will keep you updated on what's happening. We are loving it here in Ukraine and we love the people. What a great experience.

Elder Burr, Chris (non-member), Brother Poc (new member).  These two men really like Elder Burr and they have become good friends.  They took us to a street market the other day.  We had a great time.  We walked about 6 miles that day.

A street vendor selling vegetables.

A table of baked goods.

Grains of all kinds.

Fish and a very ugly squid.  There were lots of fish of all kinds for sell everywhere.

A picture of several vendors.  Sister Burr bought one of the sweaters on the rolling rack in the middle of the picture.  It was only $7.00.

This was at a store close to home.  A dozen apples for 49,900 won or about $50.00.  They are very nice big apples.  The apples here are very delicious.

Just leaving for our adventure with Chris and Brother Poc.  Brother Poc is always that happy.

Sister Burr being brave and trying some acorn jelly.  It didn't have much taste to it.
