This is mom standing on the stairs going up to a classy restaurant. They had the stairs decorated very nice.
The next two pictures are of a meal the Sisters of the stake made for a Zone Conference. They were asked to by we think the area presidency so as to take some of the load off the Mission President and his wife. They normally figure the whole meal out and have it catered in.
This is mom and some of the other senior couples talking and waiting to ear
Here are the young missionaries waiting to eat also.
These are the goodies that mom made for thanksgiving dinner she made for people who were not of our faith and members at our house.
This is the people we invited for thanksgiving dinner. On the right are two women who are not of our faith and then Brother Park then mom then Chris and his wife. You can't see them very well but there are three children sitting at the coffee table eating beyond the dinner table.

Mission Experiences
Second Mission
We will be serving in the Seoul South Korea mission for two years. We will be posting our experiences below.
First Mission
Hello to all our family and friends visiting this Blog. We are excited about our mission to Kharkov Ukraine. We are in the Donetsk Mission as Humanitarian/Welfare missionaries. Half of our time will be spent helping members with employment. We are also taking Russian lessons from a little Ukrainian girl twice a week. Our brains seem to be a bit scrambled but we are enjoying the process. Keep tuned in and we will keep you updated on what's happening. We are loving it here in Ukraine and we love the people. What a great experience.Saturday, December 15, 2018
These two picture are pictures of the art work under the eves of some of the buildings we visited.
This was some historical place we visited and the old statues.
The nest two are just scenes of the area we stopped to see
Lots of old building are built this way. It was the very old style of architecture.

This is a picture of Kimshi barrols they use to make Kimshi in in the old days. They would bury them in the ground and leave them there until they needed Kimshi and could leave them there for up to a year until the next harvest.
We stopped along the way to have something to eat. This is Chai Youngsook and her son sitting across from me. We had to sit on the floor. Chai Youngsook is one of our very good friends.
We had to put our shoes here before we entered the eating establishment.
this is the stairs going down to the Ocean front.
It was a very long way down to the Ocean and it took awhile to get done there.
We thought we were going to the Ocean to play in the water for awhile and dig our toes in the sand. But surprise, surprise, surprise this is the only sand we saw and we couldn't get down to it so I have video of the sound of the water and how pretty it was.
At the end of a very long walk on a fenced metal pathway of about a two mile walk along the Ocean that seemed like about 5 miles we saw a store and this is some of the delicacy's in the fish world.
They have a lot of this type of architecture in South Korea.
This is Chai Youngsook's son sitting on this lion. He is a cute little boy

These pots are for storing Kimshi. Fermented cabbage. It sits in these pots for months before they eat it. It has a hot sauce on it. It takes some getting use to, but most people like it.
This is a high tower in the heart of Seoul. We went up to the top and took some pretty cool pictures. The view is beautiful.
From on top of the tower.
Han river, taken from on top of the Seoul Tower.
Another picture of Seoul from the top of the tower.
There is a place on top of the tower where people in love put a lock to keep their love forever. There are literally thousands of them.
In Seoul Zoo with all the missionaries.
The elephants in zoo.
Totem poles in the zoo.
We were so tired by the time we got to the top of the zoo area that we rode this tram back down to the bottom. It was really fun and a beautiful view.
Our Korean friends, Chris and Brother Park took us to a big budah temple.
There were thousands of these paper balloons/lights. People buy them and put their family names on them to worship Buddha and to ask for blessings.
Statue of Buddha.
Helping hands day. We were picking up garbage along the river. City officials were very grateful.
Many people showed up to help. Maybe 150 people showed up to help.

Lexie Walker did a free concert here. It was a lot of fun. We took two non-members with us.
This is Lexie with a Korean girl that is playing a strange musical instrument. She is dressed in the native Korean costume.
We were invited to dinner at a members home. She said the meal was a Kings meal. Notice the rolled up thing in Elder Burr's hand.
There was a bowl of hot water on the table and you dip this rice sheet into it and then roll up meat and vegetables into in. It is sticky so it sticks well to itself and keeps the vegetable and meat in.
You can see the vegetables and meat we wrapped up the the rice. It was very good.
This is us as she tells us goodbye. She is very kind.
