Sister Burr left her purse on the train and we got clear into town before she remembered. By the time we got back to the train station the train was no longer there but it was parked about one mile away. She and our interpreter ran as fast as Sister Burr's legs could go to where the train was parked. They had to run on the tracks after the trail stopped. At one time a train passed going the other way which was kind of scary. She was able to retrieve her purse after paying a small fee to those that had found it. They had not taken any money or her passport or anything out of it. We feel it was a miracle she got it and nothing was taken. On the way back a nice engineer offered to let them ride on the front of the train engine instead of running the mile back. It was truly an adventure.Elder and Sister Burr
Mission Experiences
Second Mission
We will be serving in the Seoul South Korea mission for two years. We will be posting our experiences below.
First Mission
Hello to all our family and friends visiting this Blog. We are excited about our mission to Kharkov Ukraine. We are in the Donetsk Mission as Humanitarian/Welfare missionaries. Half of our time will be spent helping members with employment. We are also taking Russian lessons from a little Ukrainian girl twice a week. Our brains seem to be a bit scrambled but we are enjoying the process. Keep tuned in and we will keep you updated on what's happening. We are loving it here in Ukraine and we love the people. What a great experience.Thursday, July 14, 2011
